As a Quality Assurance Tester you will be at the heart of the software development process.
You must be detail oriented and love to spend hours in front of the computer. The main responsibility of a Tester is to find mistakes in websites and software applications. Becoming a Software Quality Assurance is easy and you don’t need any programming background to study in the Program.
Even during times of economic slowdown, QA testers are always needed. Because software development is a world-wide trend, you can often work from home testing software from another country. Many QA Tester positions are project based so the better Tester you become the faster your salary will grow. New software is being developed every day all over the world.
QA 102: Mobile and Advanced Manual Testing (180 hours)
Manual Testing Advanced is an advanced course into Software Testing and Quality Assurance. During these 12 weeks students will take an in-depth and hands-on approach as they learn the following: fundamentals of testing, testing throughout the Life Cycle, test design techniques, test planning and estimation and an in-depth introduction into Mobile Testing. The lectures are Mon, Wed 6 pm – 9 pm and the internship is Tue, Thu, Fri 6 pm – 9 pm. Build a mobile QA process from beginning to end and work in an agile methodology environment. Starting salary is estimated at $45,000. Career opportunities include Test Analyst, Test Engineer, Test Consultant, and Test Manager. Quality Assurance is an interdisciplinary profession incorporating Science, Engineering and Business. Nearly everything manufactured or produced in the U.S. is subject to quality assurance standards of some type.

Yemi Akisanya is an innovative and goal oriented Senior Quality Assurance Analyst with over 6 years of Financial Market industry, including 9 years in Technology where he has held positions as Senior and Lead Quality Assurance Analyst and is currently a Senior Business Analyst in the New Product Development Group of OCC.
In his current role, Yemi serves as a liaison between the external business customers – exchanges, members vendors – and OCC’s internal organizations including IT, operations, membership services and legal, in order to provide technical and procedural solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in derivatives clearing, as well as an understanding of the IT and clearing organization’s systems and capabilities. Yemi serves as the Business Subject Matter Expert and is responsible for writing System Requirement Specifications (SRS) and leading and facilitating the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
